Goal: to understand and perform the prologue to Act 2
Reading: You should be on your fourth book.
Agenda:
- You will make groups of seven.
- Assign different lines of the Act 2 Prologue to different members of your group. Each person in your group must have some part of the Prologue to say.
- Decide how you are going to Perform the Prologue. Here are a few ideas:
- You could have one voice echo another voice or an important word.
- Several voices could read an important word, line, or phrase together.
- Come up with gestures that go with your lines. You could even have two people in your group silently act out the lines (ex. Pretend to be Romeo and Juliet).
- Make sure you understand every part of the Prologue so that you can perform it well.
- Take the rest of the period to practice.
