Planning our narratives

Big Ideas: How do individuals and groups shape our identity? How do we become a confident individual?

Reading: Today we will read for 10 minutes. You should be in the last part of your book. Next book review is Oct. 1st




Agenda:
  1. Grade your vocabulary from last week. No new vocabulary this week.
  2. Finish outlining the sample passage from Stargirl. Use your plot diagram from last week.
  3. Create an outline for your narrative. Turn your paper over and diagram the flow of your narrative.
  4. Start your narrative.
    1. We will use this sample passage from Stargirl as our model.
    2. Start your narrative on document SG005 in GOOGLE CLASSROOM.

Success Criteria:
  1. I finished my vocabulary.
  2. I can create a narrative with an exposition, rising action, climax, and a reflection.
  3. I can learn from a model text how to create my own narrative.

Homework:

  1.  No new vocabulary for the next two weeks. :)
  2.  Make sure you are reading your book at home.
