Big Ideas: How do individuals and groups shape our identity? How do we become a confident individual?

Reading: Today we will read Stargirl instead of our independent reading books. We need to practice a new routine together.

1. Today we will discuss the end of the novel. We will also have to pause because Mr. Jimenez will be talking to our class.

Agenda:

1. Today we will continue a new process for class discussions. You will be graded ONLY on HOW MUCH you contribute to the discussion.
1. Read the assigned reading and take notes however you want. Here is a suggested way to take notes:
   
2. Small group discussion. Use these questions stems to guide your discussion. Start on the left and move to the right.
   
3. Submit your groups top two THOUGHTS, lingering QUESTIONS, or EPIPHANIES to the Padlet wall. Use the author's name! (Spinelli)

Success Criteria:

1.  I contributed to my group's discussion.
2.  I was able to take notes on the reading.
3.  I helped create our group's Thoughts, Questions, or Epiphanies.

Homework:

1. Read the the PDF from 121 to the END
2. Start your new vocabulary list, SAT words with the letter B
