Big Ideas: Who or what is in control?

Reading: Today we will read for 10 minutes.

Agenda:

  1.  I will grade your vocabulary today. Make sure you start your next list.
  2. Today you will read and annotate some passages from Shakespeare in preparation for a TQE discussion tomorrow.
  3. On the Left-hand side, try to paraphrase in your own words what Shakespeare is saying. Go slow.
  4. On the Right-hand side write your own thoughts, questions, and epiphanies. What is Shakespeare trying to say about love? control? men and women?
  5. Make sure you use a pencil. You will probably have to erase a lot as you go. 

Success Criteria:
  1. I can paraphrase a difficult text on my own.
  2. I can generate questions that connect to bigger ideas.

Homework:
  1. Did you start your new vocabulary?
