Nonfiction Narrative

Big Ideas: How do individuals and groups shape our identity? How do we become a confident individual?

Reading: Fill out the reading progress form. Today we will read for 10 minutes.

Agenda:

1. English Journal #6: Nonfiction Narrative Brainstorming
1. You will write a personal narrative about an event where you or another person was shaped by a group or individual.
2. In our English Journal we will brainstorm ideas to write about.
2. Take out a piece of paper. We will visually represent the arc of a narrative.
1. We will use this sample passage from Stargirl.
3. If we have time we will begin our narrative.
1. Go to GOOGLE CLASSROOOM and open the nonfiction narrative document. 

Success Criteria:

1. I can identify an event from my life that would make a good nonfiction narrative.
2. I understand the arc of a narrative.

Homework:

1. Submit your Character Monologue on Flipgrid.
2. Work on your NoRedInk assignment
3. Make sure you are reading at home
