Prepositions, Monologues, and Complex characters

Big Ideas: How do individuals and groups shape our identity? How do we become a confident individual?

Reading: We will read for ten minutes.

Agenda:
  1.  NoRedInk Preposition assignment or Vocabulary.
  2. Work on your Character Monologue
  3. Class discussion: Are Leo and Stargirl complex characters?
    1. In the best stories, the main characters are interesting and complex. You can identify complex characters in the following ways: they show multiple or even contradictory traits; they struggle with conflicting motivations, or reasons for acting as they do; they change or learn something by the end of the story.
    2. Post your ideas on the Padlet wall. Make sure you sign-in. 

Success Criteria:

  1. I know how to identify a preposition.
  2. I can explain another character's point of view.
  3. I can make an argument about whether a character is complex.

Homework:
  1. Submit your Character Monologue on Flipgrid.
  2. Work on your NoRedInk assignment
  3. Make sure you are reading at home
