Reading: Today we will read for 10 minutes.

1. Introduction to Costa's Levels of Thinking
2. Transforming questions from one level to the next
1. In the text (one page)
2. Through the text (many pages)
3. Outside the text (many pages + outside knowledge)
3. Start a new English Journal
1. English Journal #6 Costas level of questions
2. Create a TABLE with 3 columns and 2 rows
3. With a partner write different levels of questions for chapter 5.
4. Group activity
1. Add your group's questions to this wall.

Success Criteria:

1. I can tell the difference between different levels of questions.
2. I can write questions at each level.
3. I can build strong content knowledge.

Homework:

1. SAT letter D is due 100% on Monday.
2. Our discussion of chapter 6 will be on Thursday.
