Big Ideas: What is human nature?

Reading: Today we will read for 10 minutes.

Agenda: PERIOD 6: You need to get a better report today or I will hold you accountable for your choices tomorrow.

1. Same instructions as yesterday. Since I am giving you two days, I expect EXCELLENT notes for our discussion tomorrow. Here are a few things to focus on.
1. Ralph and Piggy's relationship 169-173
2. Ralph and Jack's power 174-176
3. Conflict between Ralph and Jack 177-178
4. Of course, the major event on 181
5. Try to come up with questions about Golding's choices in this chapter. What is he trying to show us about human nature.
2. Today you need to work independently on reading chapter 11 of LOTF.
1. You should spend the time reading and taking notes.
2. You will receive a grade for what you complete in class today.
3. To prove you got work done, you must take a picture of what you accomplished and send it to me using the Remind app or my Google Voice number, which is 951-389-4663.
4. If you do not send me a picture you will get a zero for today.
5. If you don't have a phone, have a friend take the picture and send it to me.

1. I can identify the important elements in a chapter.
